I know this kind of observation is old hat by now, but it still strikes me:
I was in a restaurant the other night and they had an unfamiliar flag on the wall. I pulled out my phone, aimed Goggles at it, cropped to the flag (which I didn't realize you could do til I tried it) and a few seconds later, it told me it's the Colorado state flag. Now I sit here looking at friends' up-to-the-minute vacation photos on a tablet, tethered through my phone and read a 1000 page book that's pleasantly compact inside a centimeter thick tablet.
I like living in the future.

I still feel a sense of awe looking out the window on a cross continental flight while chatting with friends down below thanks to onboard Wifi.
