The orb weaver spiders were out in force in the yard today, with at least three large spiders that I believe were all Neoscona Crucifera or some other similar species.
I got a nice edge-on shot of the web of one, along with some other good closeups. A cell-phone macro shot with flash did something strange but awesome to the colors in one shot.

I try to be a grownup, but a nice big orb weaver hanging at face level makes me cringe for at least a full day.
