Spaceteam is a great free face-to-face game for Android and iOS. And it's free, not "freemium". The creator wants to keep making great free games, so he's doing a Kickstarter. Unlike many of the Kickstarters I've done before where the "reward" and the "pledge" were essentially a traditional purchase transaction, here the "reward" is largely the same for everyone: great free games. But, if he doesn't get funded, he may not find a way to do it.
The Kickstarter ends in a couple days, and he's not far from reaching the goal, but you should help fund this if you like mobile games and want to encourage this kind of thing rather than the psychologically exploitive model that freemium games have lead to.

I wish he said more about what these other games will be like. I think Spaceteam is an interesting and successful design, but I would never play it myself. So is he going to make a game I might want to play? I can't tell.

It got funded, so you'll get to see. I thought he did a good job of describing the style and kinds of board games he was inspired by in the descriptions of the new games. Short of having the games done I'm not sure how you could better tell if it's a style appealing to a particular person.
