I have the base game of this and am looking forward to the expansion. As evolution themed games go, it captures the feeling of an authentic ecology nicely.
In general, I like evolution themed games this for the most part beats them all by putting a lot of the nice combos from Ursuppe and the ebb and flow of ecologies from Evo and the boom/bust quality from Evo and American Megafauna in a reasonable length game.
The fun combos, like the symbiotic scavengers on the titanic armored herd creatures are very evocative and it looks like the expansion ads some nice dynamics.

Looks great. I will be backing this project based on Matthew's rec. I like Ursuppe and Evo and would like to see a game that has (dare I say) evolved to take on their best traits.
