Got Chaosmos which I backed on Kickstarter a while ago. I backed it because it sounded like a clever mechanic/mechanism (hide-and-seek/keep-away) combined with an appealing theme (sci-fi end-of-the-universe). It is also, as the name suggests, somewhat chaotic.
I played it last night and quite liked it, though Alison and Matt, whom I played with, were less impressed. The mechanic, IMO, works well, and the game felt close up until the last few turns. The narrative of the game is appealing, and if feels like a frantic chase which is a relatively unusual vibe for a game, but works well. There's a lot of different cards, some of which aren't very useful except when they're very useful, which adds to the chaos. I tend not to mind chaotic games that I feel like have a compelling underlying "story" and this has that, but I can see it as frustrating/annoying if the luck/bluffing/guessing chaotic is not what someone is looking for. It played well in 90 minutes, and it would be better if it were shorter, but I enjoyed it even at that length.
I'm looking forward to playing it some more.
